Food Philosophy
About the Chef
Anton, the visionary behind Ton Ton Kitchen, came to Canada as a child immigrant in the early 2000s. His love for cooking began at a young age, and he pursued this passion by studying at George Brown College. After graduating, Anton honed his skills at one of Toronto’s fine dining establishments, Terra. His fascination with Japan and Japanese cuisine led him to travel extensively throughout Japan, immersing himself in the culinary culture.
Upon returning to Toronto, Anton worked with esteemed Japanese chefs at Kyouka, mastering the art of ramen. His unique background—born in Ukraine, raised in Canada, and trained under Italian, Japanese, and various international chefs—reflects Canada’s multiculturalism and the opportunities it offers. Anton’s diverse experiences and dedication to his craft are at the heart of Ton Ton Kitchen, bringing a rich, memorable flavors to every dish we serve.
